50 Cent to Donate a Billion Meals to Hungry Kids
Fiddy’s been quietly upping his image lately. Recently he announced the publication of his new book, Playground, which examines bullying and how to prevent it. Now, 50 is taking his love for the kids to a whole new level.
Fiddy, who has become a pretty astute business man, announced that he’d donate a meal to a needy child for every “like” his new energy drink, Street King, received on their Facebook Page. One like equals one meal, which can go a long way to helping kids.
In a statement, Fif told the press: ““People who want to help fight hunger are not being asked to donate or pay anything to help. It’s real simple. All they have to do is ‘like’ the Street King page on Facebook and I will give a meal to a hungry kid.”
50, born Curtiss Jackson, is teaming up with the United Nations World Food Programme, and the Queens rapper told fans if he receives 1 million likes by Sunday, he’ll donate an additional million meals.
So what happens after they reach a million? 50 Cent says he’ll donate one meal for every Street King energy drink sold over the next five years. His goal is to donate one billion meals to the UN’s World Food Programme.
