Irv & Ja Suing for Royalties
Murder Inc. CEO Irv Gotti and currently-jailed rapper Ja Rule have filed a lawsuit claiming a publishing company has illegally represented themselves as administrators of the duo’s copyrights.
Richard Kid Music Inc. and Rondo Robinson as defendants in the lawsuit, which was filed in New York Southern District Court for New York. Gotti and Ja allege that they are owed more than $57,000 in royalties and damages. They claim Rich Kid illegally represented itself as the owner of several musical compositions on Pain Is Love, Ja Rule’s hit 2001 album.
According to AllHipHop, the lawsuit also states that Irv Gotti and Ja Rule have never had any contact with or even heard of Rich Kid Music, or Rondo Robinson.
