Rick Ross Shows Draw More Police

Rick Ross is hosting a Fourth of July bash in Atlantic City–and the police officers have taken notice. According to reports, hundreds of security guards and police officers have already been hired to handle for the Summerfest 2011 concert. Over 7,000 people are expected at Sandcastle Stadium on July 2nd.

“We’re well aware of everything involving these guys,” Atlantic City Deputy Police Chief Henry White told the Press of Atlantic City. “We don’t anticipate any problems. If something does happen, we will be prepared.” According to Deputy Chief Ernest Jubilee, they employed the same amount of officers last week for a Dave Matthews band concert that drew over 70,000 people.

“People are nervous,” Officer Jubilee told the press of Atlantic City. “But it’s not with the lineup. Whenever you have a whole lot of people gathered in one spot, there are those concerns whether it’s a hip-hop concert or Dave Matthews.”
