The “Battle” Returns ESPNU
ESPNU is bringing the back “The Battle Presented by AT&T.” The show returns for its second five-week season and will focus on the discipline and drive of the Grambling State University Tiger Marching Band. The show will air from November 10th to December 8th on ESPNU.
“The Battle” showcases the traditions of HBCU bands, both on game day and during their regular routines.
This season is being directed and produced by Image Award winner Roger Bobb, president of Bobbcat Films and former executive vice president of Tyler Perry Studios.
“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to work with ESPN on this project. This series will give viewers an inside look into the life students and band members at HBCU’s in a way that they have never seen,” Bobb says. “These students not only have to excel in the classroom but on the field as well. They are just as important to the atmosphere at the football games as the players are. It’s a fascinating culture that I’m proud to have been given the opportunity to chronicle.”
